Jaké je tajemství velkých súfijských básníků, jejichž díla sahají až do 13. století a dodnes inspirují a dojímají lidi po celém světě? Například Rúmí je nejprodávanějším básníkem v USA. Česká taneční rodina je jednou z mnoha skupin po celém světě, které cítí silné spojení s touto súfijskou karavanou.

Mariam Baker/USA, a spiritual midwife and mother of five, focuses on embodied spirituality through practical content and methods that promote personal and planetary growth and healing—a mystical and practical path for everyday life.
Initiated into the Sufi Inayati Chisti lineage of Hazrat Inayat Khan and Samuel Lewis, she was a student and friend of Pir-o-Murshid Hazrat Moineddin Jablonski. From him, she received the transmission to continue Sufi Soulwork—the union of psychological and spiritual means for inner integration. She is a senior teacher in Sufi Ruhaniat International, a dance leader of the Dances of Universal Peace since 1974, a senior teacher and center director of the Mevlevi Order/USA, and teaches Mevlana Jelaluddin Rumi and the Whirling Dervish Dance in her classes.
As a specialist in women’s and religious studies, she presents internationally and is the author of several books, including „Woman as Divine“ and „Sacred Voices – Stories from the Caravan of Women.“ Together with Murshida Rahmana Dziubany from Germany, she leads international „Soulwork on Wings“ retreats and, for the past 20 years, „Shakti Retreats“ at Rahmana’s Haus Ananda near Berlin. Mariam Baker/USA, spirituelle Hebamme, Mutter von 5 Kindern, sieht ihren Fokus in verkörperter Spiritualität durch praktische Inhalte und Methoden, die persönliches und planetares Wachsen und Heilen fördern – ein mystischer und praktischer Weg für den Alltag.
Initiiert in die Sufi Inayati Chisti Linie nach Hazrat Inayat Khan und Samuel Lewis, war sie Schülerin und Freundin von Pir-o-Murshid Hazrat Moineddin Jablonski. Von ihm erhielt sie die Transmission die Sufisoulwork weiterzuführen – die Hochzeit psychologischer und spiritueller Mittel zu innerer Integration. Mehmet Ungan, narozený v Turecku, je sociolog, hudebník, lektor a předseda správní rady Orientální hudební akademie Mannheim (OMM). Na akademii vyučuje hudbu a herní techniky na ney a oud. Vede také kurzy výroby nástrojů pro súfijskou flétnu, Více než 20 let pracuje se sociálně znevýhodněnými mladými lidmi, s migračním původem i bez něj, kde hraje významnou roli integrační síla hudby.
Jako lektor na univerzitách vyučuje islámskou mystickou hudbu a transkulturní hudební programy v sociální práci, mimo jiné ve Frankfurtu, Mannheimu a Innsbrucku.
Mehmet je spoluzakladatelem súfijské komunity Gayanshala. Se svou súfijskou hudební skupinou Hosh Neva vystupuje na mezikulturních a mezináboženských akcích po celé Evropě. Za svou virtuozitu na nástroje oud a ney vděčí svým dvěma učitelům, Necatimu Çelikovi a Ömerovi Erdogdularovi (žákům legendárního mistra ney Niyaziho Sayina).
Mehmet Ungan/Deutschland, geb. in der Türkei, ist Soziologe, Musiker, Dozent und Vorstandsvorsitzender der Orientalischen Musikakademie Mannheim OMM. In der Akademie vermittelt Mehmet Ungan die Musik und Spieltechnik der Instrumente Ney und Ud. Außerdem leitet er Instrumentenbaukurse für die Sufi-Flöte Ney.
Seit über 20 Jahren arbeitet er mit sozial benachteiligten Jugendlichen mit und ohne Migrationshintergrund, wobei die integrierende Kraft der Musik dabei eine große Rolle spielt.
Als Lehrbeauftragter an Hochschulen unterrichtet er islamisch-mystische Musik und transkulturelle Musikangebote in der sozialen Arbeit, u.a. in Frankfurt, Mannheim und Innsbruck.
Mehmet ist Mitbegründer der Sufigemeinschaft Gayanshala. Mit seiner Sufimusik-Gruppe Hosh Neva gastiert er bei interkulturellen und interreligiösen Veranstaltungen in ganz Europa. Die Virtuosität auf seinen Instrumenten Ud und Ney verdankt er seinen beiden Lehrern Necati Çelik und Ömer Erdogdular (Schüler des legendären Ney Meisters Niyazi Sayin).
Mehmet Ungan/Germany, born in Turkey, is a sociologist, musician, lecturer, and chairman of the Oriental Music Academy Mannheim (OMM). At the academy, Mehmet Ungan teaches the music and playing techniques of the ney and ud instruments. He also leads instrument-making courses for the Sufi flute ney.
For over 20 years, he has been working with socially disadvantaged young people with and without a migrant background, with the integrative power of music playing a major role.
As a lecturer at universities, he teaches Islamic mystical music and transcultural music in social work, including in Frankfurt, Mannheim, and Innsbruck.
Mehmet is co-founder of the Sufi community Gayanshala. With his Sufi music group Hosh Neva, he performs at intercultural and interreligious events throughout Europe. He owes his virtuosity on his instruments, the ud and ney, to his two teachers, Necati Çelik and Ömer Erdogdular (students of the legendary ney master Niyazi Sayin).
